The role includes a multitude of responsibilities ranging from face-to-face interaction with parents, activity leaders and kids to planning and ensuring all activities are fun and safe. 

Examples of tasks include: 

  • Providing guidance and structure each day for the Activity Leaders
  • Carrying out risk assessment forms each morning
  • Ensuring equipment and spaces used are tidy and ready for the next session.

Key Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills when speaking to customers, making them feel comfortable that their child will have a fun and safe experience at camp.
  • Energetic and confident when leading other coaches.
  • Punctual with great time management and organisation skills.
  • Passionate about working with children and helping them take on new challenges.
  • Previous experience working with children in a teaching or coaching role, understanding how sessions should be run (preferred but not essential).
  • Desirable qualifications include an enhanced DBS check, Safeguarding and First Aid (preferred but not essential, we can provide these). 

Pay will be between £400-£500 per week depending on experience, qualifications, and hours work. 

The job involves working at our holiday camps, where you will lead and or assist various sport, art, and drama activities. You will oversee a group of children (7-18 children per group), either on your own, or with another coach or with a work experience to assist you with the setting up of the session. 

There will also be the opportunity to work at birthday parties, weekend sport clubs or at after school clubs when employed with us.  

Duties Include:

  • Assist and maintain a base area that is suitable for the children.
  • Follow company safeguarding protocols to ensure the children will have fun in a safe environment.
  • Ensure the children’s safety and their needs are met throughout the day including during break and lunch times.
  • Engage with the children, find out what they like and do not like and try incorporating their likes into their day/week as much as possible.
  • Helping other coaches put equipment away tidily at the end of the day before leaving.
  • Fulfill the company’s health and safety obligations.
  • Encourage children to take part in all activities throughout the day. 
  • Ensure you follow camp procedures such as registration and collection protocols.
  • Report any injuries, or any concerns regarding child protection to your Management Team.  

Active FC is looking for new football coaches who can take on and lead their own sessions, keeping kids engaged and happy while also improving at the sport.

About the Role:

  • Coaching sessions on Saturday and Sunday mornings
  • Applicants should be comfortable coaching a wide range of ages, from as young as 3, up to age 13
  • Working hours on the weekend would be between 9:30am-12:30pm (arrive early to set up)
  • Opportunity to also coach at our after-school clubs, Monday – Friday 3:30pm-5pm

The Saturday and Sunday sessions are mandatory for this role, weekdays are more flexible and based on your availability, you can apply for just the weekend role. Again, based on your availability there will also be opportunities to work at our camps/birthday parties.

Salary will be an hourly rate which can vary from £10-£20 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Applicants should have some prior experience with football coaching and although it is not a must, any FA qualifications will help the process.

Active Netball are looking for a lead netball coach for Sunday mornings and if successful potentially other coaching options throughout the week. We are looking for a lead netball coach to take children from 10 – 13 years old – teaching them the basic skills but also learning match play.

Sunday mornings: 09:45am – 11:30am

Job Type: Part-time

Part-time hours: 2 hours per week

Active Day Camps also offer after school clubs to keep children engaged throughout the term, ranging from our specialist Ibrick Lego Clubs, Football and Multi-Activity Clubs.

Active Day Camps are looking for individuals who have experience working with children (preferred but not essential). Looking for those who have previous experience teaching sport (preferred but not essential).

Working Hours:

Monday – Friday

15:00pm – 18:00pm (times vary depending on club).

The job will involve leading and supporting after school club sessions with groups of up to 20 children in the areas previously mentioned.

Salary – competitive hourly rate to be based on qualifications and experience.

There will also be opportunities to work at holiday camps, birthday parties or at our weekend sport clubs. 

Other Duties Include:

  • Assist and maintain a base area that is suitable for the children.
  • Follow company safeguarding protocols to ensure the children will have fun in a safe environment.
  • Ensure the children’s safety and their needs are met throughout the session including during any breaks.
  • Engage with the children, find out what they like and do not like and try incorporating their likes into the sessions as much as possible.
  • Helping other coaches put equipment away tidily at the end of the day before leaving.
  • Fulfil the company’s health and safety obligations.
  • Encourage children to take part in all activities throughout the session.
  • Ensure you follow all Active Day Camps procedures e.g. registration and collection protocols.
  • Report any injuries, or any concerns regarding child protection to your Management Team.
